Whether you are a beginning yaker or have experience, half-day tours are a great way to embrace the waterways of Kentucky. These trips offer a 3 to 4 hour row or float and are great for groups of friends, families, or corporate events. Don't worry if you are new to yaking, as we will provide basic instructions for safe kayaking techniques to ensure you feel safe on the water. COME YAK OFF TODAY! Shuttle
Shuttle service is provided on every trip. Some trips may require service to put-in and take-out locations, and others may only include shuttle from the take-out location. This is dependent on the waterway and parking access for our yakers.

For an additional fee, we can provide a guide to help guide you around the waterway that you choose.
Paddles and Life Jackets
Paddles and life jackets will be provided to each kayaker, and is included in the rental price.
FAQs
Will I encounter venomous wildlife on my trip?
There are various species of snakes and spiders in Kentucky that are venomous. You will rarely encounter these spiders as they tend to hideout in dark areas. Rattlesnakes and copperheads are amongst the wildlife; however, these will tend to swim on top of the water, rather than underneath of it.
Can I bring my pet with me?
We LOVE our kayaking pets at Yaking Off. However, we do ask that you provide your own life vest for your animal.
What waterways are available to me?
We offer trips on Nolin Lake, Rough River, Floyd’s Fork (outside of the Parklands), Salt River, White Mills, and Green River. We are always wanting to explore more waterways, and are willing to travel within a reasonable distance, if there is another place you and your group would like to experience.
What should I bring on my trip?
Especially for longer trips, we suggest bringing plenty of bottled water and snacks. Also, bug spray and sunscreen is suggested.
