Whether you are a beginning yaker or have experience, full-day tours are another available option for groups of friends, families, or corporate events. These tours are 7 to 8 hours and are available on most waterways that we offer. Don't worry if you are new to yaking, as we will provide basic instructions for safe kayaking techniques to ensure you feel safe on the water. COME YAK OFF TODAY! Shuttle Service
We offer shuttle services on every trip. Depending on the waterway and access to parking for our yakers, shuttle service may be offered to and from put-in and take-out spots, or only to one spot.
Professional Guide
For an additional fee, you may request for a guide to accompany on your kayaking trip.
Paddles and Life Jackets
Paddles and life jackets are provided to you for your trip, and are included in the rental fee.
FAQs
Will I encounter venomous wildlife on my trip?
There are various species of snakes and spiders in Kentucky that are venomous. You will rarely encounter these spiders as they tend to hideout in dark areas. Rattlesnakes and copperheads are amongst the wildlife; however, these will tend to swim on top of the water, rather than underneath of it.
Can I bring my pet with me?
We LOVE our kayaking pets at Yaking Off. However, we do ask that you provide your own life vest for your animal.
What waterways are available to me?
We offer trips on Nolin Lake, Rough River, Floyd’s Fork (outside of the Parklands), Salt River, White Mills, and Green River. We are always wanting to explore more waterways, and are willing to travel within a reasonable distance, if there is another place you and your group would like to experience.
What should I bring on my trip?
Especially for longer trips, we suggest bringing plenty of bottled water and snacks. Also, bug spray and sunscreen is suggested.
